The wall is damp; something is leaking in there. I noticed it on Saturday when I moved the wardrobe to the opposite end of the room, to make way for another piece of furniture.
The fast-spreading watermark is as prominent as the black fungal growth already appearing on the wet patch. How could this be? We only moved in a month ago!
I know it has something to do with the air-conditioner because the damp spot is directly underneath the air-con unit. I think the unit is not installed properly.
The contractor sent his man to check out the problem on Monday. Tomorrow his workmen will come. Definitely they wil have to knock down part of the wall to attend to the problem.
Obviously it has been leaking for quite a while because the damp patch is pretty big. This is so very annoying. Why couldn't they do it right the first time?
Worse still, the wall in question divides the master bedroom and the study and the wet patch can be seen in both rooms.
It takes a lot to get me all rankled up because I am not easily pissed. But this obviously shoddy workmanship is getting the better of me, especially because it is so unnecessary. Now you know who is not getting any recommendations from yours truly.
