Takziah & Tahniah

Daulat Tuanku.

Al Fatihah kepada Al Marhum Sultan Iskandar.
Kepada Sultan Ibrahim, Tahniah juga di hulurkan.

Teluk Ramunia is a memorable place for me. That was among the first mine that we visited as part of our economic geology fieldtrip in South Johor which also included the Pelapah Kanan mine and a quarry in Pulau Nenas, close to the Sungai Johor river mouth..Those were the days in mid 70's..

Thanks to your article which brought back the memory of Teluk Ramunia..

Puteri,
Didn't know you were once in STF. Were you in the same class with any of Almarhum's princesses?

Being anak Johor I felt sad with his demise. Semoga Allah mencucuri rahmat ke atas roh Almarhum. Alfatihah...

Azhar - Hi there Prof! macam chipsmore, kejap ada, kejap takder..hehehe.. Glad to know this posting of mine evokes pleasant memories of your uni days..

Nana - Almarhum's eldest daughter was a classmate of my younger sister in STF (sis and I are 2 years apart and we were in STF together). Two princesses were there masa I study kat sana in the early 70s.

Salam Kama..
Everytime a Sultan passes a away, a sense of sadness fills in..they're just as human as anybody and the family deserves condolences and doas.

As for the aduka teruna, I'm so sorry for him and his innocent family..I'm sure he has learnt his lesson that this is not England where one can just let loose the personal opinion..hope he'll not be punished harshly.

I'm very sure there are many who may not agree on many royalty behaviours,etc.. but our respect for our Kings must never sway an inch..

Al-Fatihah untuk Al-Marhum Sultan Iskandar.
Daulat Tuanku kepada our new Johor king.

p.s. Many us adikbradik were born in Johor..I was born in Tangkak!Tangkak estate.. Very proud oi!

Hi Puteri,

As a Johorean, I'm naturally sad about the passing of the late Sultan, he was abit of an eccentric but yet a fair man. And the new Sultan, affectionately known amongst his buddies as Yem or TIM, well I think he'll be alright too, seems to have mellowed over the years.

Puteri, all the good ppl are from Johor lah, NanaDJ, Mamasita (Ulu Tangkak..hehehe, oops soli), Oldstock & of course u know who else lah...

Salam,

Tommy from KULAIfornia or was MUARwakee :)
